Sometimes my mind gets foggy, just like on a misty day 🌫️ I stop thinking positively, draw myself out of social interaction and only talk to few people that I trust. I feel lonely and lost and have problems appreciating what I have. I feel worthless and have almost no motivation to do anything. What not many people know is that in my past I had two times a therapy because I wasn't able to drag me out of a depression anymore by myself. It helped! I still get these numb feelings every now and then, but luckily not as intense as 10 years ago. I learned coping mechanisms to not get into it too deeply. I allow myself a break, sleep in, take walks in nature, hear music that touches me, talk to friends and family about it, force myself into some sport and it will slowly get better. Ignoring it, hoping it goes away doesn't work, it needs self-care. Self pity on the opposite is the worst you can do in that situation and I'm lucky to have good friends that mirror my behavior and give me back my self consciousness. How do you cope with moody days or even weeks?
This foggy day at Lake Louise made me think of that topic. You feel like this guy on the lake, lonely and lost in cloudy and negative thoughts. Swipe for more pictures 👈 My last photographic blog was about my visit at Banff National Park, link in my bio 🏞 Had no cloudy feelings there, on the contrary, I was deeply in awe ☺️

"Don't you want children?" This is a question I get asked quite often being a 32 years old woman traveling without a man or children at my site. Honestly, I don't know if I want a family at one point. Kids can be really cute, like this one here and sure are a blessing, but at the same time demand so much time and take a big chunk of flexibility and freedom, so I'm not sure if I want that one day. Do guys get this question as well or is that just us women?
