Tofino & the Pacific Rim National Park - Canada
Tofino is supposed to be the best spot on the Canadian west coast for beaches and from what I have seen so far, I couldn’t agree more. There are divese beaches which are mostly used for walks, hikes or surfing. The rainforest is also stunning and can be experienced with diverse hikes. I loves both visits. We slept in Ucluelet both times as it was way more affordable. A blog about that area will soon be online too.
Below both pictures from my September as well as July visit a year later. You will see some differences in weather. I sorted the sights south to nord.
Florencia Bay
To get to the beach you had to walk down these stairs and down below we would find a ton of drift wood where you could sit on and enjoy the view and in our case also some gitarr playing. I know, the last thing isn’t always present as traveling way to many find themselves playing without actually being able to 😌 In our case we were happy, because she actually could play and spared us the singing, but maybe she could even sing, we’ll never know.
Shorepine Bog Trail
In between all the beaches and stunning rainforest you suddelny find this walk trough a rougher pine area. I really loved the diversity and unique look.

Rainforest Trail or Schooner Cove Trail
Why two names for a trail, because they are actually two, I just can’t remember which one was which… The Rainforest Trail was parallel to the Long Beach and the Schooner Cove Trail at the north of the Long Beach, so not to far from each other. Both were loops through the rain forest and not too long hikes so I do recommend both 😉 The first two pictures are from one of the hikes and the other three from the other 😁
Cox Bay
Not only the beach itself is stunning, especially for surfers, but what is found at the end of it is even greater. North of the beach you can walk by a path that brings you up some rocks where you have the greatest view over the ocean and the waves crashing on the rocks.

My two travel mates, since you can't really identify them I guess they are okay with me posting this 😉
At a beach further north which you can see from the viewpoint there were actually loads of surfers because there is an island in front of it so the waves get scaled down a litte. Sill, it would be way to cold for me to go in there!
My new rainboots btw. They just look like Hunters but are actually the cheap version of it from Walmart but they do their job 😉
Tonquin Park Trail
Short trail in walking distance from the city of Tofino.
Third beach, haven't found the ones that are named first and second, but I bet they must be somewhere 😉

Apart from eating in Tofino in some spaces and driving through we actually didn’t spend much time here any of the times.
