Munich – Germany

I have been to Munich due to commuting but also two times to visit friends. Munich is the biggest city in the south and so clean it flashes me each time especially compared to Berlin. It is beautiful to do some sightseeing in this city. Here are some of my impressions:

Sightseeing

New town hall at Marienplatz. Love the sky on this shot.
Marienplatz again, this time with better weather.
Theatinerkirche in the middle of the city. Visit the Hofgarten a park nearby.
Surfing is not possible in the middle of a city? Think again! Have a ride at the English Park in Munich.
View from the TU munich cafeteria.
The Café im Vorhoelzer Forum.

Oktoberfest

As you might all know it is also well known for its Oktoberfest that happens once a year at the end of September and beginning of October. It is a traditional celebration with lots of beer, traditional food and most of the people get dressed in traditional outfits. Girls come in a dress called dirndl and guys wear leather trousers. I visited Munich once for the Oktoberfest and it was really crowded but we had a lot of fun at the same time.

Party in traditional outfits.
Me in a traditional dirndl. Lets say it highlights my advantages 😉
The Oktoberfest includes a huge fair.
