Frankfurt – Germany

Last October I spend a long weekend with a friend of mine from school. She moved to Frankfurt years ago so I have already visited her a couple of times. Frankfurt its known for its skyscrapers and financial center. This are just a few photographs so you could get a short impression.

The police was all over due to a demonstration.
View from the top of the Galeria Kaufhof shopping mall totally for free. Right from me you could see the skyscrapers but it was against the light, so the photos weren’t great.
Old town with this beautiful buildings.
This part of the old town was rebuild and reopened just a couple of month ago.
Walking by the Main river.
Part of the Skyline.
Love lockers and the skyline.

Update from April 2019

Went to visit my friend again and we did a boat tour as well as walked through the old town πŸ™‚

European Central Bank and the skyline.
Zoom on the skyline.
The Three Kings Church.
Westhabor Tower, looks like a typical glass for Ebbelwoi, a traditional apple wine.
The Skyline with the bridge “Eisener Steg” which you can only cross walking.

Around Frankfurt

Frankfurt is all about finance, sure it is not. Just a short dirve away you will find the Taunus Feldberg to go hiking. Especially beautiful with snow.

High trees.
Nothing special, I know, I just like snow and trees in combinations so much.
View from the Feldberg.

Also Bad Homburg with a nice thermal spring and cute old town offers the possibility to relax near the big city.

Park in Bad Homburg in autumn.
Love locker again.
This tower gives you holiday feeling.
